Prior to scheduling a move, please review our FAQ's and our Policies Page. If you have any other questions, just give us a call!

Step 1: Figure out what day you are planning to move.

Step 2: Rent a truck or trailer as needed for your move. (We can help with this too.)

Step 3: Look through our services to see what you'll need help with. We can help with just about every aspect of the move (we'll let you know if there's something we can't do).

Step 4: Go to the “Request a Quote” tab above and fill out the form! Please provide us with all the required information.

Step 5: We will contact you to verify and confirm the details.

Step 6: You tell us where, we’ll put it there.

It’s as easy as that!

The cost for movers will depend on the exact services needed. You may need just a moving service such as unloading/loading help, or maybe you have a more comprehensive project that needs more time and manpower. For example, it will cost more if the movers need to pack all the boxes rather then having all the boxes packed beforehand.

Some of the main factors of moving costs with Big Boy Movers would be.

  1. Truck & travel fee—This includes truck, gas, mileage, insurance and time picking up and returning the truck and/or supplies. Big Boy Movers also includes blankets, tie-down straps, moving pads, and dollies that we will use and take back on the same day.
  2. Hourly rate—There is a 2 hour minimum rate on all services. If the job will take longer than that, we will charge in 15 minute increments. The time clock starts running when the movers start working at the pickup location and ends when the movers complete their work at the drop-off location and you sign off on the paperwork.
  3. Other services/items

    • Moving supplies
    • Boxes
    • Junk removal service charges
    • Heavy Item charges

    Keep in mind, your final price may differ from an estimate due to factors such as elevators, stairs, excessive additional items added on moving day, etc.

Although we can’t guarantee it, we are often able to come to the rescue of clients who need a mover at the last minute. This can happen for a variety of reasons that are outside of your control, such as delayed home closings, unreliable moving companies, unexpected relocations for a new career, or urgent personal life changes.

We understand how stressful these situations can be, and we do our best to accommodate each and every last minute moving request.

Payment is taken upon completion of the job. Our movers will collect payment. If you have any other concerns about payment please contact us.

Tipping your movers is never expected, but will always be appreciated!

Yes, we are. 

Cancellations with less than a 48 hour notice will be subject to a $100.00 charge.

Reschedules are subject to date and time availability. There are no fees for rescheduling as long as you contact us before 3pm on the day before your move. After 3pm on the day before your move or if the mover(s) are on their way to the job when we are notified, there will be a $35 charge per mover to cover their time. Please let us know as soon as possible if you need to reschedule. We are more than happy to work with you.
